VA TVHS Offers E-Donate to Support Veterans
April 7, 2014
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (VA TVHS) continues to offer the availability a simple and safe way to pledge their supports to Veterans through E donate. The program is an online donation option at www.tennesseevalley.va.gov that will provide the community to give financially.
"We’ve known for years that our citizens want to show their support to the service members who defended their freedoms," said Juan A. Morales, VA TVHS Director. "While not everyone will have the time to volunteer, now anyone can take five minutes online to thank Veterans in any number of ways."
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) administrative costs are appropriated, so donors can be sure 100 percent of their donations go to the funds they select and the Veteran patients they are choosing to support.
"Every day, Veteran patients benefit from the generous donations from private individuals, Veteran Service Organizations and stakeholders to the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS)," said Tom Gallagher, TVHS Chief of Voluntary Service. "Whether it’s a cup of coffee, a snack bag, personal care items, clothing or bus passes, the donations made to TVHS enable us to meet the needs of our Veteran patients. Donations can be made by cash or check to Tennessee Valley Healthcare System or electronically through the Pay.gov website," said Gallagher.
Donors can find the E-Donate button at www.tennesseevalley.va.gov/giving/index.asp. The actual donation is made through a secure site at the Department of Treasury’s www.pay.gov. A minimum of $5 is required for online donation.
